ARCHIVING
Large drawings/documents
- TLS&EC scans large-sized paper drawings, blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematic drawings,
contour maps, aerial photos, etc.; digitizes the data for computer use; and, stores the data onto CDs. Our services focus on quality
scanning to assure the best final product.
TLS&EC
has the right
solution to meet your particular needs !
We scan all large format documents (aerial
photos, architectural drawings, mechanical drawings, quad maps, contour maps, etc.) with the
most accurate scanner available. All scanned data is saved digitally as a raster file
(tiff uncompressed, tiff compressed, .bmp, .jpg, .gif, etc.) and stored to a CD. (1 CD has 650 MB
of memory.) 1 CD can hold over 1,000 large drawings!
CD ARCHIVING CAN DO ALL THIS:
FAST, EASY ACCESS - convenient desk-side, at-your-finger-tips,
storage.
TIME/MONEY
SAVER - no wasted time looking for drawings (time is money!).
ELECTRONIC
TRANSMISSION -paper drawings stored in raster file format allow fast and expedient transmission, electronically. Easy to share data.
SAFE-KEEPING
- second set can be easily stored away to keep safe from fire/flood hazards.
DELICATE/DAMAGED DRAWING
PROTECTION - over-used drawings can become damaged or old drawings may be brittle;
protect them with CD storage.
QUICK VIEWING AND
PRINTOUTS - CD data can be viewed quickly on almost any computer viewing program and easily
printed out (11x17 print is usually legible for size D/E drawings).
SPACE
SAVER - no cumbersome storage space required for paper documentation is necessary!
EASY-TO-CARRY
- put over 1,000 drawings in your brief case!
RASTER-TO-VECTOR CONVERSION
Paper File Formats to CAD File
Formats (for CAD users) - TLS&EC converts large-sized paper documents (i.e., mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematic
drawings, contour maps, etc.) to CAD (Computer-Aided Design) formats (.dwg, .dxf). We provide a wide range of vector
solutions to best meet your needs.
TLS&EC
CONVERTS TWO MAJOR TYPES OF FILE FORMATS: RASTER.....PAPER DOCUMENTS (i.e., mechanical drawings, contour maps, blueprints, etc.) that have been scanned, digitized for computer viewing;
and, saved in raster formats (tif, jpeg, pct, gif, bmp, etc.). A raster image is
defined by dots (pixels). and
VECTOR.....CAD PROGRAM FILE FORMATS ; (i.e. .dwg, .dxf). A vector image is
defined mathematically.
Save
Raster files in various file formats (compressed and uncompressed)
Alter
raster information (edit, deskew, despeckle, remove noise and clean-up, mirror
image, copy, crop, move data) - on the same sheet.
Combine
multi-raster (paper) drawings into one sheet.
Conversion
to vector (CAD drawings) - convert to CAD files
